POSITION OBJECTIVE
The scope of the position is to perform comprehensive in vitro and in vivo research activities to develop innovative gene therapies. Th e key responsibility to synthesize and characterize lipids and lipid nucleic acid nanoparticles, to perform in vitro and in vivo assessments of the efficacy of the nanoparticles for gene therapy, to mentor undergraduate and graduate students in related research areas and to collaborate with other lab members and scientists in related research areas.

1. Participate in and contribute to lab meetings.
2. Help maintain the lab equipment and facility

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
The research associate for this position will supervise undergraduate students and graduate students working in the laboratory and assigned to the projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Licensing: Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering
Experience Preferred: At least two years of experience of research as a post-doctor in lipid nanoparticles and animal experimentation.
