Essential Functions (Job Duties)
A Post-Doctoral Research Associate in advanced structural and functional MRI-intracranial EEG acquisition, analysis, and application is available at the Translational Imaging Laboratory, Wayne State University School of Medicine
The successful candidate will be working to develop cutting-edge acquisition and analysis techniques using deep learning networks for MRI and intracranial EEG. The candidate will also have the opportunities to work on multiple clinical projects using these advanced techniques, which include studies on pediatric neurodevelopmental disorders such as drug-resistant epilepsy, Sturge-Weber syndrome, and late language emergence.
We are looking for a creative postdoctoral fellow who has an interest and expertise in the development and implementation of novel deep learning strategies.

Unique Duties
Qualifications
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in an area such as biomedical engineering, neuroscience, or a related discipline.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous work experience with common quantitative MRI and EEG techniques, such as diffusion MRI and evoked potential mapping is desirable.
Familiarity with scripting languages such as C/C++, Matlab, Python, and R, as well as familiarity with existing neuroimaging tools such as Freesurfer, AFNI, FSL is desirable.
