Postdoctoral Scholar – Cardiovascular Sciences /Physiology Postdoctoral Scholar positions are immediately available in Dr. Lebeche's lab in the Physiology Department – University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC), Memphis, to participate in and extend ongoing research projects related to 1) small molecules discovery in metabolic and cardiovascular diseases; 2) genetic/epigenetic, non-coding RNAs and functional studies dissecting the underpinnings of diabetes-induced cardiomyopathy.

Qualifications Interested candidates must have a Ph.D., MD/Ph.D. or equivalent, be highly motivated, very productive, and dedicated to a research career. The ideal candidate should have a strong record of accomplishment and experience in molecular biology, pharmacology, and biochemistry fields related to basic and translational cardiac physiology and/or metabolic disorders. Previous research experience in cardiovascular sciences and or animal models of disease is highly desirable and will complement current research directions. Additional expertise in genomics, RNAseq interpretation, and bioinformatics will be exceptionally a plus. Applicant must be highly motivated and fluent in English (written and oral), collegial, and able to work independently.
