HJF is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to support The Suicide Care, Prevention, and Research Initiative (Suicide CPR Initiative) within the Medical and Clinical Psychology (MPS) department of the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. This position will be based out of MPS offices in Rockville, MD. HJF provides scientific, technical, and programmatic support services to MPS.
The Postdoctoral Fellow will receive training and supervision in the areas of military mental health, psychotherapy research, program development and evaluation, randomized controlled trial methodology, suicide prevention (including suicide risk assessment and management), as well as cognitive behavior therapy for the prevention of suicide. Additional training opportunities on evidence-based mental health services to military personnel, veterans, and their families are available through the Center for Deployment Psychology (CDP). The position will provide postdoctoral hours and supervision necessary for licensure.

Responsibilities:
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Applicants must knowledge of research design and methodology. Some experience in clinical or translational research is preferred.
Minimum Education: Doctoral degree required in Clinical or Counseling Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
Minimum Experience/ Training Requirements: A minimum of 0-5 years of experience is required.
Work Environment: Office Environment.
Work Arrangement: This is a hybrid work environment with flexibility to telework a few days per week.
Background/Security: Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Tier I investigation/Public Trust and a Common Access Card (CAC).
