A Postdoctoral Fellow position (NIH pay scale) is available in the laboratory of Dr. Wen-hong Li in the Departments of Cell Biology & of Biochemistry at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Our laboratory focuses on diabetes research combining approaches of both chemistry and biology (http://www.utsouthwestern.edu/labs/li-wen-hong). The fellow will join our team to develop novel small molecule probes and to devise innovative drug delivery strategies for targeting islet beta cells and restoring their function (insulin release) as a part of our research program in diabetes therapy and islet biology.

Suitable candidates should hold a Ph.D. degree in Organic Chemistry, or Chemical Biology, or Biochemistry.
