A postdoctoral fellow position is open and available immediately in the laboratory of Dr. Harshita Kumari in the Division of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Winkle College of Pharmacy - University of Cincinnati. The selected post-doctoral fellow will be responsible for doing research in the area of organic chemistry and for training graduate students on analytical and experimental methods. An 18-month appointment (2020-2021) will be offered initially and will be continued for up to a total of 3 years upon satisfactory performance and the availability of funding. Minimum Qualifications : PhD in organic chemistry or related field with a focus on multistep synthesis
Additional Qualifications Considered : The ideal candidate will have expertise in the area of surfactants, siloxanes, hetrocyclcic synthesis, supramolecular chemistry and related areas. Candidate should have hands-on experience in XRD, NMR, MS, DSC, TGA, FT-IR, Raman spectroscopy etc.
