Required Qualifications:
The Office of Professional Development (OPD) is seeking a self-motivated and proactive Program Researcher to help advance the mission and strategic goals of the office.
In close collaboration with the Director of the Office of Professional Development for Graduate Students and Postdocs as well as the Director of BGREAT and the Office of Diversity, Outreach and Recruitment, the Program Researcher will help identify opportunities and implement programming in five main areas: Career Readiness & Exploration, Teaching & Mentoring, Leadership & Management, Communication and Wellness. In addition, the Program Researcher will support efforts to build community and establish relationships between individuals, both trainees and faculty/staff, and biomedical training programs in the Medical School.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Program Researcher in this position will conduct research and service that provides further development of career skills and allows them opportunities to learn new research techniques towards a career in higher education, with an emphasis on graduate and postdoctoral trainee professional development. They will work in conjunction with the Director of the Medical School Office of Professional Development who determines the agenda. Hires have typically worked in a previous post-doctoral position, and may supervise other personnel.
