The Schrider Lab at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is hiring a postdoc in the area of computational population genetics and/or phylogenetics. The successful candidate will help design and carry out projects related to: 1) elucidating the phylogenetic relationships among species and/or the genealogical relationships of individuals of the same species; 2) the development and application of computational methods to interrogate the impacts of (and interplay between) adaptation, recombination, and demographic changes on genetic diversity within and between species.
Minimum Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a strong research background in computational evolutionary genetics/genomics. This a multidisciplinary position and candidates from a variety of backgrounds will be considered and receive training to address deficits as needed.PhD in Evolution, Genetics, Genomics, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or related fields.
