About the Center of Family Love

Center of Family Love (CFL) in Okarche, OK is a faith-based, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that provides residential and employment programs for adults with intellectual disabilities by cultivating their interests, skills and independence to live creative, productive and joyous lives. We are located 30 minutes west of north Oklahoma City.

Summary:

The VP of Philanthropy leads and manages the planning and execution of the organization's philanthropy and fundraising strategies, marketing, public relations, and community engagement. Works closely with the CEO and senior leadership to ensure that CFL mission objectives are funded and understood throughout Oklahoma.

Responsibilities:

  • Shape, manage and drive the implementation of a successful fundraising strategy to support organizational and project development needs, including developing and implementing a cost-effective fund development program involving individuals, businesses and private foundations.
  • Develop and implement specific campaigns for tax-credits, planned giving, charitable trusts, endowments, and development projects.
  • Develop and manage timelines for various fundraising activities to ensure strategic plans and critical fund raising processes are carried out successfully and in a timely manner.
  • Develop calendars, plans, and marketing material for fundraising events and appeals.
  • Establish recognition, acknowledgements, and incentives for donors.
  • Manage communications by shaping and driving the implementation of an effective outreach and communication campaign to educate and cultivate community support.
  • Develop and implement cost-effective marketing and outreach strategies to communicate with a range of constituencies through printed and electronic media.
  • Create, write, edit and produce press releases, publications, videos, exhibits, and printed materials, including annual reports.
  • Update and maintain organization’s website, on-line publications, and social media.
  • Oversee the administration of the donor mailing list and database using Donor Perfect software.
  • Coordinate in-kind donations and make decisions regarding the issuing of receipts.
  • Develop a comprehensive communication plan to promote the organization to its donors and maximize public awareness of the fundraising activities of the organization.
  • Coordinate the design, printing and distribution of marketing and communication materials for development efforts.
  • Identify prospective individual and corporate donors and develop strategies to cultivate those relationships.
  • Research donor relation programs at local, state and federal levels.
  • Ensure timely and accurate report deliveries to funders.
  • Collaborate with staff on the management and planning of fundraising events and donor receptions.
  • Design and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to create awareness of the organization’s business activities.
  • Supervise the Development department and provide guidance and feedback to Development staff.
  • Generate and produce ideas for promotional events or activities and organize them efficiently and successfully.
  • Grow a major gifts program including identification, cultivation and solicitation of major donors.
  • Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the Center of Family Love’s values of teamwork, respect, integrity, compassion and kindness.
  • Performs other duties as determined by organizational needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, or related field required.
  • 8+ years combined experience in fundraising and marketing.
  • Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation preferred.
  • Familiarity with Donor Perfect or other donor tracking software.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

  • Okarche, OK 73762: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

  • Fundraising: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Microsoft Office: 1 year (Preferred)
